期待以上。雪国住みとしては、深夜に極寒の脇道で事故って立ち往生って普通に起こりそうな状況でリアル。だからこそ、ややファンタジーというか、現実離れしたホラー要素もすんなり入って来て楽しめた。雪道で長距離運転するような方は特に臨場感を持って楽しめると思います。

ホラーとしては、そこまで「うわあ怖い！」みたいな内容でもないのですが、ダークで静かな雰囲気が好きで何度も取り寄せたりレンタルしています。舞台がクリスマス直前の話なので、その時期になると観たくなるのかも。

駄作。時間の無駄だった。学生二人（男の方はストーカーばりに女の子を追いかけてた）が夜中の雪道で車で事故、遭難し事故は幽霊がらみだったというもの。夜じゅう幽霊に怯え、朝まで過ごせるかといったストーリー。
このような話は日本のショート動画やショート小説などでゴマンとあります。伏線の回収は一応ありますが、それがどうしたという程度。意味も無くたった一日の事故で女の子が同乗してる男子学生に心揺られるとかありえない。

怖くありません。
内容としてはストーカー男のおかげでとんでもないことに遭遇するお話です。
幽霊が出てきますが、エルム街の悪夢的な登場の仕方。
まあ、ストカー男のアホさに呆れました。
そこまで期待して観るものでもないですが、そこそこ面白いので星3つです。

とらえ方によっては、男子学生のことをストーカーと思えるかもしれない。
だが私はそうは思わなかった。
大学で見かけ、おそらくは一目惚れしたのだろう、近づきたい、知り合いになりたい、という気持ちがわかる。
いい恰好しようと近道を通ったが、それが裏目に出るあたりも、なんとも同情してしまうね。
他の皆さんからアホアホ言われているが、人間、善かれと思った行動が裏目に出ることなんて五萬とある。
一緒に見ていた母親も、男子学生に対して同情的だった。
ホラー的な怖さはあまりないが、極寒で動けなくなるという怖さはあった。
｢どうせお粗末な出来だろう｣なんてあまり期待はしていなかったが、思いのほか面白かった。

Bei der gleichnamigen Software bekommt man öfter eine Gänsehaut.

A girl hitches a lift off a boy from college in order to get home for Christmas. Their relationship is fractuous right from the start, and worsens when she finds out he has lied about where he lives, and she really starts to worry when he starts revealing personal details about her, that he could not possibly know. After stopping at a Gas Station, the boy decides to take a short cut, which worries the girl about his intentions even more. As they argue, a car heads straight for them and sends their car spinning into the snow. They see figures passing in the snow, but when they call for help they get no response. Then a policeman appears at the window....
This has been compared to another horror film 'Dead End'. In that film, Ray Wise and family find themselves on a road where events keep re-occuring, and time stands still. Dead End has a fine acid humour running through it, whilst this film goes for a more straightlaced 'scare the viewer' approach. Both films are excellent, but I think I prefer the sombre, dark story that this film tells. The relationship between the boy and the girl starts off badly, gets worse, but then they start to rely on eachother as things take a turn for the worse, and they actually become quite close in their desperation. There are several 'jump in the seat' moments, and the whole film really builds up a great sense of dread in the viewer, as the horrible history of Road 606 is revealed to the trapped duo and the audience. It is a film that will stay in the mind long after it has been watched, and is intelligent, cerebral horror at its best. Great performances from Emily Blunt and Ashton Holmes too. A real treat, and a perfect film to watch at the midnight hour 5 out of 5

There are a lot of very good movies that end up being buried under those who happen to get more advertising and then they become lost--unappreciated.

I really didn't know what to expect going into this movie. The previews didn't look all that scary, but somehow it was still interesting. I really thought it was going to be more along the lines of "I Shouldn't Have Survived" or "The Mountain Between Us"--some kind of horrible survival from the elements after a freak accident. But I was completely blind-sided by the turn of storyline.

Then I thought perhaps the kid driving would end being like a soul collector, like in "Ghost Ship". But again, blind-sided once again. It became a storyline that leads you into thinking many different possibilities and outcomes but it ultimately becomes something of its own making.

A fiction writing professor once told me, "It is true everything out there has already been written. But it hasn't been written by you." Every sort of storyline we come across will somehow tie into other stories, but it is about recognizing what it does DIFFERENTLY. The mind that wrote this story is actually GENIUS, true creativity that largely goes unrecognized or "boring" because movie-goers are now so used to having everything handed to them in obvious ways, including being scared. Very few appreciate the scares that lie beneath the surface, the ones that aren't right up in our face but are still very much there. There are a few reviews on here that show other people out there understand what I'm saying here, they are the ones these movies are created for.

On a few ending notes: can we appreciate that essentially every character in this movie becomes extremely well developed, especially given they don't even have names?? It is incredibly challenging to write a good, solid storyline and then turn it into a movie and do so without relying on common character identifiers such as NAMES. So bravo again. Also, at the end of the movie...I won't spoil anything but let's just say I was moved to tears--right after spending the entire previous 3/4 terrified and filled with suspense--again BRAVO.
